Memory of 20 years of Octobers in the Shadow of Love.
Since he is one of the most admired players on ccMixter, anybody who remixes Loveshadow needs to know what they are doing!
So, I was thrilled yet concerned I couldn’t do him justice. After some thought, I decided to simply adapt selected samples of his solo instrumental uploads into my own quirky creative vision and try and honor his talents in my own experimental fashion.
My idea was to offer an emotive blend with ‘memory’ as a theme. To this end, I incorporated a Neurowaxx sample and dusted off my old cello as components…also added some otherworld vocals to (hopefully) enhance the mood.
