This is my second mix using Bill Ray’s drums; The first being “Io”. Scomber gave me an idea; I believe in jest: Song cycle of all the 60+ moons of Jupiter. That’s a bit much for me. Holst could probably do it. (hee……heee)
I’ve instead scaled this idea down to 3 or 4 Jupiter related concept songs. This particular one is inspired by my favorite feature of said planet: The Great Red Spot. It’s a giant storm; very long lived, and I’ll not go into an explanation of it, ‘cause it’s about as well known as the moon.
A bit of trivia….I was viewing a time-lapse movie of the GRS; while preforming the gtrs for the tail end of the piece.
