I missed Admiral Bob’s original call for RUN DMC type rapping, hope I’ve answered the call well enough some… 17 years later.
Family safe rhymes in the tradition of one of the RUN DMC founders.

The focus of this song was not Admiral Bob’s top line, actually I heavily relegated it to a third place of importance.
Instead I made the bass the focus, made it thumpy, raw, and turned it up quite loud.
Bob’s organ playing? I can’t hear the organ in the original mixed sample, you can hear it quite well here. Still subdued but present.
Not only is the whole sample slowed down to 95 BPM, but when I’m rapping the main bars (not talking or the bridge) the guitar top line slows down even more. Not the bass, not the organ, just the guitars. Check the instrumental and you’ll hear it.
